Dear Friends and Families,

Although it is difficult to believe and even harder to say, the reality is that the birth of International Recovery Center (IRC) came about as a direct result of the death of my eldest son Alex during his active drug addiction. His death has inspired me to share the gift of recovery with every person seeking a way out of their drug and alcohol abuse.

If you are reading this today, you too have been affected by addiction in some way, shape, or form. I promise you are not alone.

According to “Psychology Today,” it is estimated that 10% of the population has the propensity to suffer from an addiction to drugs, alcohol, and many other mood and mind altering substances. I have personally suffered through the dark days of addiction in my teenage years until my third stint through rehab in 1990. At the age of 25, I finally surrendered to the disease of addiction and began to live the life I was meant to live. Although there were times in my addiction that I thought that I could never overcome the obsession to use drugs—some of my family believing that I would die due to my drug use—I am here to tell you that it can be done.

At IRC we are committed to helping every individual overcome the desire to drink and/or use drugs. We can no longer stand by passively while lives are being lost. Together we will find a path to recovery and build a life worth celebrating.

Your executive staff at IRC has over 60 consecutive years without the use of drugs and alcohol. We know how to stop active addiction, recover, and build successful lives. Our desire is to share our passion, instill hope, entice the mind, awaken the spirit, and help rebuild the lives of every person that we serve.

Through the pain of the loss of my son and the help of experienced and dedicated professionals, we have designed a treatment program that is fully equipped to meet the complexities of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Most importantly, our program is designed to be individualized and to tend to each client’s personal needs.

IRC is committed to the welfare of our clients and families, and we aspire to be the median by which those suffering from the grips of addiction find freedom and a life beyond their wildest dreams. Our treatment program is designed to bring healing to the hurting and prepare our clients for the challenges they will meet in the process of their daily lives. Our experience has shown that while receiving treatment the addict and alcoholic may get a reprieve from the disease, but when they are met with life’s challenges post treatment, many falter and revert back to their previous life.

At IRC, our program is designed to prepare our clients to meet the trials that will present themselves. Along with our aftercare program, we provide a set of simple tools and a daily maintenance program that keeps clients centered on the goal of meeting life on life’s terms without the use of alcohol and drugs.
